I made you a playlist! Scroll to the bottom to hear it. But first, a quick story.

I love music. Like… I love music.
I love to sing (even though I am not much of a singer). I’m that friend who claims every song as “this is my jam.” Maybe in a past life I was a musician or a singer, because music moves through me in a way that feels ancestral.
Even though I don’t have the talent, I deeply admire how artists create music that transcends. Music that touches parts of our shared human experience. Our joy, our grief, our longing, our becoming.
One evening, while tending to my broken heart, journaling and preparando un baño. I started putting together a self-love playlist. These songs soothed parts of me I didn’t even know needed care. Something about them simply resonated with my soul.
That night was the beginning of my self-love playlist. And since then, I’ve continued adding to it as I grow, heal, and change.
Songs like “I Am Proud” by Gemielle served as a reminder of how powerful I am. That I deserve to give myself more recognition for all that I’ve accomplished. Younger me would think I am so cool.
Other songs, like “Me Lo Merezco,” reminded me that I deserve good things and that I don’t have to earn them. I began to unlearn how deeply society and religion taught me that I had to do in order to receive. This song helped me soften into the truth that I am worthy simply because I exist.
I could go on and list how each song has touched my heart, but I’ll end with one more.
“La Única” by Kali Uchis just made me feel good. It reminds me that I get to accept myself as I am, and that I deserve to surround myself with people who honor my uniqueness instead of trying to dim it.
Mis amores, now it’s your turn.
